2016 701 enduro clutch slip, anybody with issues out there?

Hi

I have a `16 701 with 10 500km on it,  thinking that the clutch is starting to slip.
Still power wheelie in the shorter gears, only from 4 th and up feels like its slipping?
Never had clutch issues on a bike, will it  slip in higher gears only?
Known issues re clutch on the 701?
2SD  is jy al terug agter die stange,  dan bring ek vir n 2de opinie?

Both the 690 and 701 has finicky clutches, and they cannot take much abuse.

I had the same problem on 690, and Runner fixed it - costed me one clutch, but never had it after the fix. There is some weak point that can be rectified, I just have no clue what it is and how to rectify - I believe it was KTM Pretoria that came up with the fix originally.

Maybe give Runner a shout. Alternatively, hopefully somebody on WD will be able to point you in the right direction - they did point me, I just cannot remember who it was I have a hunch probably Bill the Bong, but not sure, sorry.

Check jou oil level!  :thumleft:
... or oil is getting old. Especially when the clutch only slips in high gears (higher speed)
also move over to Motul. 15W60 offroad 300V

I really think there is quick fix - something like different springs or washers or something. For some reason I just cannot remember what it was. Check with Runner.

Remove the set of springs that is constantly trying to open your clutch. :pot:

My 690’s clutch burnt out at 350 kms in the clock..
was climbing rocks up a hill though.
No warranty fix at all by KTM.

The 690/701 clutch is a softy.

Had the same issue on my ktm 690. Clutch started slipping when accelerating from low revs in higher gears. Only did 3500km on the bike. Had to be replaced
