Hi Folks, I am fairly recently ex Joburg, based near George and enjoy my gravel travels with my humble KLR 650.  Mostly long day rides in the area. Been a great bike to get into the adventure style travel.  Most of my riding has been road bikes and tar.......focus is changing now!

Welcome! Get thee to the gravel pronto, that bike's not made for tar  :laughing4:

At least you'll keep up with the more modern bikes - whereas my DRosaurus is left far behind. But never mind, I'll get there and have fun doing it  :ricky:

Hi All

Thanks for the welcome.
Yeah,I am loving the dirt riding after years of road bikes. Still learning though but wearing out knobblies quickly on the KLR. I am lucky to live in an area of fantastic dirt roads and passes.

Welcome. I can have any bike I want, and mostly I ride my KLR. Enjoy and grow a thick skin.
A F'ugly is a different sort of bike, the 1150 is boring and the 1100s makes me smile. The RT ?... Once you ride one, there is no explanation necessary.
