Herschell Whet Stone Honing oil removes the swarf and reduces build-up of particles at the point where the blade makes contact with the whetstone.
This allows for quicker sharpening and keener edge if you are sharpening correctly.
I have been using a mechanical sharpener for about 18 Months.
Every Monday I would sharpen my carry/EDC knives.
I used the Herschell Whet Stone Honing oil on the sharpener whet stone; it made a huge difference to the sharpness of the blade, so much so that without much effort I gave myself a really good clean cut a few days later. I was really impressed how much sharper the blade was.
