My wife bought a 650 Sertao in November, and since about 2 weeks ago the bike started doing a few strange things.
1. While riding at any speed, and at very random times the bike's rev counter spikes to full revs, with the warning light coming on. She has to then stop and turn it off and on again after which it would usually works fine again for a while.
2. Sometimes right after this happens, or at other random times while riding, the bike cuts out for no reason at all. She then just has to hit the starter again to get it going.
Both these have happened before on cold and hot days where we were cruising at 120 km/h, and also while she was going slowly through traffic. Some days it doesn't happen, some it would happen 5 times.
Apart from checking the battery terminals and the side stand sensors, is there anything else we need to check? Trying to avoid the dealers here.
