Must be a helluva race between Ross, Lyndon and Roger as they were very close to each other time wise at the end of SS1.

Ross Branch and Lyndon were 32 sec apart with Roger only 2 min behond Lyndon in the standings.

Hey all,
Unfortunately Greg had a big off yesterday hitting a stump and had broken his right ankle and shoulder, going to need multiple surgeries to fix him up. Ross was in good spirits yesterday after his crash and started well this morning. A long day today over 800 km. A repeat of the special from yesterday then a short liaison and another 260 special then a lond liaison. Yesterday was a very flat and fast day. Too fast along fence lines. Unfortunately there were a few retirees me included

broken wrist! Hit a mud puddle and talent ran out, 160km into the special.
The top boys are really putting on a show but with Lyndon riding a 730 makes a huge difference.

Ah man bummer about the wrist. Hope you recover soon. I hope Greg recovers well, sounds like a rough ride.
Yeah I'm sure that 730 Lyndon is on makes for a big advantage where things open up a bit.

I see Roger must have made a nav error, he's back tracking, looks like he got his distance wrong and turned too early. By the looks of it this has cost him quite a bit of time.

What is the expected terrain to come? If it get more technical then the 450's might have a better chance against Lyndon?

Looking at the guys average speeds they must really be flying at insane speeds in the open sections.

Ross Branch : +1:20:21
Roger Kane-berman: +1:33:38

Roger's nav mistake cost him a lot of time by the look of it. Lyndon's pace is faster even than the fastest car/buggy/sxs. I wonder if they're all on the same roadbook?

I suspect they are going to stay pretty much in the same area with similar terrain. It would be great if they moved more west towards the softer sand in the Vostershoop area. So far looking like a great event and I think numbers will grow.

Yeah I was hoping they'd make it further west maybe into some dunes and sand. Very keen to hear the feedback regarding organisation, if they're on point then as you say the numbers will follow.

Odd. Lyndon has been stationary for a while now.

Also odd 313 the Batt of Marius and Jolinda fourie turned around a bit ahead of Lyndon and are now by the look of it heading south of the course almost directly to the SS2 start/finish. edit: I see now they're going the other way. Damn could be a major nav mistake or roadbook issue?

#313 back at the start of SS2, made a beeline there. Lyndon still stationary

edit: Ross branch is getting closer to Lyndon now. Behind him looks like car #380 and Roger made another Nav error. They've back tracked and seem on course now
