I'm considering a new 2018 model.
My first choice was to be a 450 EXC because I am used to riding them, and like long, fast tracks. The reality is that I am riding in the tropics - steep mountains and lots of mud, single track, creeks etc. so a more nimble, lighter bike might be a better idea. I'm also not as fast as I used to be. Thing is the weight difference is really not that much. Then is it just a case of having more power on hand and the cost? I'm 96kg. Can't really think it makes a difference these days. The power (too much of it) is the reason I have been given as why I do not want it.
The reality is I want to get back to basics and maybe do a bit more technical and slower riding to what I am used to as a speed-freak rally nut.
Any wise words from someone who has or has ridden one (or both)? Which one
