We had an overwhelming response to today's route, Excalibur, Funacide & Myself, so herewith the pics to tell the story.

Early morning it was rather chilly - felt like we drove into a fridge when we got to Harties, but fortunately it warmer up quite nicely later during the day.

Recent rains had compacted most of the routes, and many of them had been graded, so it was easy going all the way.  :D

Big Red Riding machine  :D  :D

The last section of road just before Groot Marico was really something! Very scenic with lots of game farms and Lodges by the roadside....

Yes Groot Marico is know for the Mampoer that it stoked there....maybe we should plan a trip there when the Mampoer Fees is on

We pulled into the local hotel............not a hell of a lot happening on any day, let alone a public holiday  :(   had a few cold ones and headed back

Smokebreak

............and eventally back at Pinehaven

Assorted pics

The fire got the better of this roadsign..........guess it's not going to be fixed real soon

Coke in Koster

Nice open spaces and lots of fresh air.

Lovely days riding, good company and excellent roads.

Thanks Funacide and Excalibur for joining!

Thanks for a gr8 ride guys, turned out to be an awesome day.

Here are a my pics for viewing

We left Harties at about 08h20 and I was back home again at 16h30.

Found a really nice road between Haarties and Magaliesburg

Quick stop in Magaliesburg for a smoke break.

Between Magalies and Koster.

Just before Koster (Leo found awesome dirt roads so we only did 2 km's on tar)

Coke and Smoke break in Koster

The last section into Groot Marico, has some of the best DS roads around, beautiful scenery and awesome roads, although I did hit a huge hole in the road and managed to break my rear hugger on the bike.

My number plate also almost fell off during the ride, so I now need to get it fixed back on again.

Thanks again for a nice ride guys.

Road tyres on mags & nobblies on spoked wheels!

Can change, if I'm in the mood - need about 5 minutes to do!
