I commute just about every day to and from work here on the mud island. Its about a 55 mile return journey and 65% is Motorway riding (Free-way). This is starting to pile the miles onto the 990R so though it was time to get a little cheap commuter. After a lot of searching I decided that the most reliable and practical for my needs is either the Honda Hornet 600 or the Yamaha Fazer 600. I tested both and felt way too cramped on the Hornet. The Fazer however felt surprisingly comfortable.
I ended up getting myself a really neat Fazer FZ6 2006 model. I have only ridden it a couple of days now but I am well impressed with this bike and wish I had done this earlier. Its nimble and eats up the highway miles and is a breeze through London traffic.
Anyone else with one of these. Would love to hear your thoughts on any potential issues I need to look out for etc.
