Thought I would share this bit of info, I purchased my 1190 in December 2017 from Factory racing , Good deal , that said the bike still had the stock exhaust but was decated , Priced a slipon and with prices starting at 8k to past 13k I was not keen to leap into a new slip on , My Son is a tech at Fatory and he mentioned that they had the stock pipes gutted. This is done at TG SERVICES / TORNADO DEVELOPMENT in Alrode . When I got back from holiday I called TG , and booked the silencer in for some surgery , same day service , And it now has a nice growl , not overly noisy ,just nice , best of all the surgery was only R1000.00 .
They cut out the stock insides and weld in a 63 mm perforated pipe and repack . The cut is made under the removable read cap ,so you dont even notice the weld . They do the same to the cat , cut on the weld , think the decat also around a grand .
