Sheesh, your photos make me feel like a learner rider.
That's some pretty intense terrain you put your 800 through huh?
I hate riding over big loose rocks, reminds me of that place at De Wildt called "Coconut Island"
I tend to think your needs will be perfectly matched with the 950 Super Enduro! In my my honest opinion, you will probably mess up the 690 with your aggressive riding skills

but do yourself a favour, give the 990 a test ride, it will make you smile, and you will definitely not call it boring.
Only problem is its still a heavy bike, Ive only had mine 2 weeks, and as much as I love it, there are a few things I miss from my 800, but you quickly get over them. Who needs heated grips anyway?
How did you make your windshield black, was it vinyl, or a tint?
Enjoy!
Thanks Xchallenge, appreciate it

Ja I got rid of the 800. Dont worry, not to a dog and not to a dealer. And I had the whole front end replaced by BMW before I sold it
I did however have the progressive springs in the bike while I still had it. Did not help much though
When I eventually buy again I will either buy a 950SE or 690. The 800 was a great bike but found it a bit boring. On the other hand, I felt so confident on the 800. Could take that bike solo up and down Bezuidenhouds pass in the sopping wet rain and not worry about not making it. Hope I will feel the same again about the next bike. Missing my 800
