There are few things that look as good as a well executed wheelie. A GS looks especially awesome with its tummy showing..  ;D nice pics!!

Ek het baie respek vir n man wat n 800 so kan wheelie. Dis nie die maklikste bike om te lig voor nie. Daar is selfs n hele thread oor hoe om hom te lig. Dink dis oor die 8 bladsye lank. :lol8:

Pom17... Send me that link to the thread about wheelying the 800.. I am interested that there is a specific way for that bike. I have wheelied them for Kay's.. No different to any other bike.. Just need a little more encouragement..

Hi Heddles

I have never seen someone do it in real life but know there are people who can. But those are also the people who can wheelie anything, even a unicycle

Here you go, the heading says wheelie in 2nd gear but in the thread a lot of people asking about wheelying the 800 in general. Havent read it in more than a year so cant remember everything stated there  :)

When I first rode one, (800 GS) I tried in second and sort of thought, nah.. Gonna hurt this bike. But I spotted some guy on one on the M5, pulled away from a light and as he put it in 2nd, hoisted it up high. I didn't see him put it down, changed at least three gears before I lost sight. High up in the air, low revs, steady throttle, relaxed, controlled wheelie. Next time I rode one, I started to feel my way around first gear. Took a few tries and I was picking it up in second as well.. But as  personal choice, I like to gently lift it in first and go to second in the hoist. Balance it and gently go through the gears. Depends on the road, what gear I stay in. About 110km/h max, and they will go through to sixth if I have the space and the road...
