My wife attending a conference in Dallas in April, and she's insisting I accompany her

Anyone knows what's going on there, touristy wise? Not to keen on looking at oil derricks or longhorns all week...
Wouldn't mind trying to visit any mega fabrication facilities etc if there are, and they allow visiting (I'm an engineer so enjoy that type of stuff).
