Hi all,
last week I did a work run, a 3400 km odd Pizza slice with a little 'extra' northern cape. I started out with a new set of Mitas E07 (great tyre) and two bags with enough kit for 5 days plus tools etc
All in all it was great to get a feel for what I will need for future trips if I decide to opt for the bike - I travel quite a bit.
Lockable hard luggage:
To secure laptop and test instruments etc, always hated hard panniers but now I see the value.
Crash bars:
Are they necessary? maybe for extra harnessing space. Good options.....?
Fuel:
On the open road the bike gives me around 280-300 clicks per tank of 19 liters at 5500rpm- not great but hey its old tech
and bearing in mind that some regions like NC are sparsely populated at best so not worrying about frequent fuel stops is a plus.
Device charging:
I set up a charger under the seat but cant lift the seat when fully packed so need to refine that one.
Any feedback / tips appreciated.
