So I have had this issue with my 990 since I got it new in 2012. Buffeting is really bad so I tried to resolve it with any conceivable way possible. This is what I have done.
1. Tried Different Helmets
2. Touratech - Lip
2. Rally Screen
3. RAD Screen
4. Cut a standard screen shorter
5. Removed the Screen
6. Made a double screen / Vented Screen
7. Added wheel Weights to the Peak
8. Removed the peak
9. Fitter Rottweiler fold away mirrors
10. Finally after researching every page on the great Interweb on the topic decided to try the Britannia Composites - Voodoo screen setup. (Issue is that this is a major change, headlight cluster with new fairing and adjustable screen) and its not exactly cheap.
Decided to bite the bullet. Place the order last week Wednesday and it was delivered to my door this week Tuesday (really impressed)
Installation was very simple, basically plug and play. Installing the GPS cradle took longer than the entire installation. Also removing the HID light I had fitted previously took some time as I had to remove the ballasts from the right had fairing.
Here is the final product installed. Looks the business :ricky:
Took it for a short spin at a medium height and seriously impressed. Cant wait to take it for a long ride and report back.
Will keep you posted on the outcome.
