I should have taken photos.
My 2010 Super Ten has 60 000km on the clock.
For the last few thousand kays I noticed a flatspot when accelerating hard . The bike would loose pulling power from between 5500 rpm and 6500 rpm before pulling hard again to the red line.
This morning I removed the tank and removed the fuel pump assy from the tank. Stripped and cleaned the pump and housing and replace the fuel strainer with a new one , one of the mechanics had lying around. Reassembled and took her for test ride.
Hells bells , what a difference. She idles smoother. Pulls away smoother and pulls like a steamtrain all through the rev range.
Should have done this months ago!
