Hi everyone,
I am currently planning to ship our bikes from the UK to Cape Town, then ride north to Namibia, northern Botswana, Zambia, Malawi, Mozambique, maybe a bit of Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Lesotho and end again in Cape Town.
We arrive at the end of May and will be staying few days with friends there. Our flight back is the 19th of September, so we have almost 4 months. The bikes should arrive before us ( hopefully! ) .
In term of maps, we usually load Open Source Maps. They worked very well in Russia and Central Asia.
I also use apps like maps.me and I believe iOverland could be also useful.
Is there any other GPS map we could load that would be better than OSM ? Or is that enough to navigate and find our way round and campsites etc...
any advice regarding gps maps most welcome.
Any advice really. As this is the first time we will ride in Africa. Not sure what to expect. And adventure I hope! :angel12:
