Sheridan Morias. World SSP.
« on: April 03, 2018, 06:28:08 pm »
This just announced.

Sheridan Morias will replace Kenan Sofoglu (out due to injuries) at the factory Kawasaki team in World Supersport 600 racing for at least the next two races, depending on how well Kenan heals.

Great chance for Sheridan to prove a point.

Indeed!  For all I care he can finish every race third from last, as long as the two Kalio Yamahas are behind him!

Jip.  As Tony said, Kalio Yamaha dumped both their riders for riders who could bring more money to the team.

Unfortunately, some racing classes is a competition between the richest riders instead of the best riders.

Sheridan rode a great race in SSP600, but that Kawa was way short in top speed compared to the Yamahas.  He could not even hang on in the slipstream.  7th and top Kawasaki is a good result though.

Young Dorren Loreiro, in SSP300 did very well as well.  Grabbe dthe holeshot, raced in top 3 - 5 in a class that is becoming just like Moto3.  Was on his way to a 2nd or 3d, but high sided on the last lap, which dropped him to 8th.  Huge surprise to see the KTM;s right up there in their first ever outing.  Winning a first race out is a huge accolade.

Rumour has it that we can expect two important announcements from the WSBK paddock at Assen this coming weekend.  First, Kenan Sofoglu will announce his permanent retirement from racing.   Then it will be announced that Sheridan will race his bike for the remainder of the season.  Hope this little rumour is accurate!

Sure, hope its like that - he is the right racer to take Sefoglu's ride.
