Due to the fact that nobody in my neck of the woods balances bike wheels, I decided to make my own balancer and try for myself. Seems to do the job except that it took 180gr of weight to balance. This seems excessive, I mean that's a fistfull of lead, literally. The tyre is a Mitas E07+, BMW800GS rear rim. I balanced it with the sprocket and cushdrive in place. What I cannot find is a balancing dot on the tyre, so maybe the tyre needs to be rotated 180 deg. Maybe is there is a balancing dot, anyone know?
