I like this idea, especially if you can do it without having to move all the electronics over.

I don't see why you don't just hack the 1190 to bits. there was a guy that even fitted a carburettor to the 1190.

Been reading locul post on Adventure Riderís forum rc8/950 adventure swap looks quite straightforward.
If you are handy with tig welding chromoly for the engine mounts and frame mods and know your way around wiring.

Only issue is the petrol tanks need to be modified to fit the oil cooler and radiator (Rc8 radiator not sure about 1190 Adventure) and you need to modify the swingarm bolt shims to fit the frame and swingarm.

A 1190 swingarm can also be made to fit the 990 frame with not alot of effort (depends what you see as not alot of effort).

So it is very doable if you have a complete 1190 with wiring everything it is possible and I will be looking into this for my 950 in the future.

Its has to be a hooligan machine of note 50% more power and the 1190 engine is roughly the same weight as the 950 engine and oil tank together...

Why woukd you want to do this? Doesnt make sense to me. If you want an 1190 go buy one. Im sure the 990 frames and components were never designed to handle an 1190 power and torque outputs so im not sure why you would want to do this...unless of course its just for a garage project jol.

Interesting project... Iím also a fan of the 990R chassis. Much better ground clearance and suspension than an 1190R IMO.

Lol why not...
990/950 is better looking than the 1190 in my opinion and that power in that frame is a win in my books..
