Do the LC trophies have smaller tyres than the Adventures?

I have a guy in my complex who has an older adventure model bike, he recently bought new tyres for his adventure and they are Michelins to but more off road looking maybe 50/50 tyres?

I have the anakee 3's on mine, but his wheels look way bigger?

Is this due to the tyre being more geared towards offroad or because the adventure has different tyre dimensions?

I noticed he does not have a mudflap on though, is it something you need to remove in order to have more offroad type tyres on?
