SO some update time....

Car has been sold :( being collected monday. Now we have to consider buying something small or just renting for a while.
Busy to start sorting the house out so that we can put it on the market next week...then either rent something or go stay with MIL.

Problem is MIL is in krugersdorp so for the wife its a 120km round trip vs the current 25km round trip. Also not sure how i feel about her and my son travelling that road everyday.

Then on the interviews - one company said i was one of the last 2 and although hard to decide they went with a local guy that could start soon.

Then the second....hold thumbs  :thumleft: :thumleft: They doing reference checks now.....

Awesome, well done.  What area and doing what?

I am in commercial Property Management, currently head of the department that manages all africa countries (except SA).

Now I am taking 2 steps down to physical being a property manager again (havent done it since 5 years ago) so going to deal with tenants again, and clients and and and, but worth it to get to NZ, and something I have always known. Will work my way back up.

Indeed and being in wellington (have i mentioned that??) we get even more points.

We will however still go the work visa route as I need to start in 2 months and residency can take up to 6 months. So we will apply for it once we land.

UPDATE

Dam, I forgot how much I hate driving on the N1 in the mornings in traffic with a car.

Had to take the car to work as it is being sold today and they collecting it here. Wife was very sad about it as she loved her IX35....

So now we renting a little picanto from avis for 2 months at 9k  :lamer: But in the greater scheme of things it had to be done.

Last night was also a late night, starting to look at houses to rent, and start planning. We have also now engaged an agent to fast track the visa's. (we only have 8 weeks to go)

Reason, my wife and son can only get their visa once i have my work visa. My work visa through an gent can take 2 weeks (on my own it can take 2months). Agent fees - 15k.

Wife and son visa can take 3months or 5 weeks through agent. That would put as at 7weeksish and ideally means we could all fly together....lets hope.
