Agree. Buy sommer 4. You can also find them here in NZ sometimes.

In my garage I have a SA lead but cut of the plug and add a NZ plug. So I still plug my power tools into the SA socket of the lead

So far we going to ship 4 boxes (max 120kg) with seven seas for books, etc. for about R3,000

Depends where you are. We did it with Hatmed in hatfiled, pretoria. Just double check that they have emedicals registration and that the DR and radiology is tat the same place. (reason i went to hatmed).

Some are not in the same area so you have to go to more than 1 place.

They are about a hit and miss.

Perfect job for one and crap job for the next. The pricing is about the same. You will have two options to insure your stuff. The cheap one cover only total loss and the expensive one who cover each item. That is however a pain in the arse as you have to write down every single item and their value.

Update time...nervs nervs nervs but we putting it aside and pushing on.

This week the serious packing started. Boxes were bought, bubble wrap bought (which is half for packing half for stress relieving  :imaposer: )

Started packing the kitchenwares and books, did some test fitting with cloths for my bags and some fights between the misses and I  :3some:
Time is not on our hands.

Our lounge is full of boxes marked, going to mother in law, my mom, my dad, maybe shipping or storage or charity....we very indecisive about what stays/goes/gets sold/donate etc.

Have also taken the leap today and booked the flight ticket for the 26th  :peepwall: I wanted to fly the 25th but now see the ticket prices has gone up by 7k,  :lol8: :snorting: :'(

All this and still no word on visa.... Dont know if I am going to stay sane during this period  :lamer: :imaposer: :eek7: :deal: :dousing: :bueller:

Then the wife mentions...Think i wanna stay behind for 4 or so months with doggies before they fly....  :bueller:

Apparently London and Washington office are closing soon. It's also silly season with people applying for visitor visas so there is a huge backlog building.

I'm using eagle immigration based in NZ

Update - My employer was kind enough to write me a letter, addressed to INZ, if they would be so kind to expedite my visa as I am due to start 1 Nov. - My agent has now uploaded this to my profile.

I am also in contact with various ppl from the facebook group who is also waiting for visa's and one got an email address for the london office  :pot: So I also popped a mail with the letter to them asking nicely if they can expedite it for me.

Now more waiting....

At my current employer in SA I hit a snag as it I need to do a quick 3 day trip to Ivory coast  :dousing: Flying out Sunday afternoon and back Tuesday night...I am at a point where I want to tell them thats it, I am leaving end of October, even if i have to sit at home for the month of November....thats if the visa takes another 6weeks  :peepwall:

That was in Auckland when I went over in June....

Now I will be staying in Wellington so either Airbnb or short term room/apartment rental until wife and kids join me
