So i took a lekker ride out to greyton and from there to mcgregor today.
Early morning i leave stb side going up helshoogte. A older kb series tow truck come flying past dodging cameras by swerving left and right to avoid trapping. Uncoming traffic had to swerve. Hectic.
Just after the cameras a second tow truck is next to me.
So... impromptu drag race from about 60km/h.
And we sit neck to neck to about 150 and there the tow truck hauls out from under me.
Also older kb series with fat rubber and a stainless steel gutter sized pipe.
Probably v6 tuned to bollox or maybe lexus v8. Had a poky smell, not regular pump petrol.
By turn two i have waved goodbye and never see them again.
These tow trucks are not into fast cornering.
But in a straightline...
