1190 Valve Clearance issue at 26 000km

Good Morning  anyone else have valve clearance issues on 2013 1190 R. Took my bike in for service and was advised that the valves would possibly need to be replaced if they can't get the correct clearance. Just seems odd that on such low mileage she needs such a big operation. I am by no means questioning the service provider but definitely concerned about my bike as I only have 4000km and now dealing with problems like this.
