I have ordered a ktm 690 touring screen to fit on my 701. I will review once I have received/installed it.

I just want to get the wind blast off my chest, with my helmet in clean air. Hopefully it will do the trick for around R900.

There are a few rally setups available like Rade, Omega etc, but they are Very expensive. screensforbikes in Aus also have a screen, but that is about R2500 imported.

So the ktm 690 touring screen arrived. I wanted to fit it last night, but my handguards mounts are in the way  :(. I will have to do the installation this weekend, adding some spacers (aka doorstops) underneath the screen to clear the hand guard mounts.

I have a plan already to fit the screen with some spacers this weekend. If it does not work I will contact you. How do the mounts look?

I installed the 690 screen today. Used fuel tubing as spacers so the screen would clear the hand guard mounts.

Went for a short test ride. The screen does what I wanted it to do. Wind hits me on the neck, so there is no helmet buffeting. Wind blast is off my torso and helmet is in clean air

Thanks, the Rade garage rally fairing/kit is very nice. Just too expensive for me at the moment. Also look at Aurora rally fairings. Awesome products if you are willing to spend R30k upwards

Aurora products use mostly stock KTM products (Rally ones) combined with their own fabricated bits. Extreme well made

I would love the Rally light kit...

But R30k for lights, wind protection and an awesome looking 701 is just too much for me.
