Dogs, can someone perhaps give me some advice...
If the engine is running with bike in neutral as soon as i pull the clutch lever and put the bike in first gear it jumps and dies, so somehow the clutch is not engaging. What i have done sofar:
1. New clutch cable, tried adjusting it at the lever and at the engine, no success.
2. Pulled the side cover, took the clutch out. Basket, plates, pushrod, springs, plate, bearings, fokken alles, and all is still new and in spec. New actuator arm spring also fitted.
3. New oil, correct viscosity.
Still, as soon as I engage gear it stalls. Gave the bike a runnig start and engaged second gear, and its fine. I can ride the bike like that in all gears shifting up and down by revs alone. Soon as i try pulling in the clutch and the bike is in gear, as soon ad I slow down it dies.
Please what else can I check, before forking out money for a workshop to gix it.
The bike is a 250 four stroke china copy of the Honda XR engine.....
