I have the manual with TC and ABS.

Coming from the perspective of someone who has commuted on a bike daily for more than 10 years, ABS is a non-negotiable for me. I can live without TC, but it is reassuring to have in slippery tar/traffic conditions. I never use it on dirt. In my opinion, if ABS or TC save you from a fall once during the life of the bike, it has paid for itself many times over.

I did not want the extra weight and cost and technical complexity of the DCT, so I spent the savings on crashbars, bash plate, centerstand, handguards, heated grips, 12V outlet and tyres.

(Iím just over the pond in Melbourne, roads are often wet and slippery here, especially on the mountain twisties)

I was wondering how I would answer this. My friend Stuart Joyner bought the basic one recently and he thinks it is the bees knees. He usually has a pretty good idea of what he wants in a bike. The ABS on my bike saved me from re-arranging the back of a taxi once on my daily commute and as the man from Melbourne says - once is enough! See you soon.

Very pretty! Not nearly so exciting but I went to buy a new bakkie today. Bit stunned by how much cheaper than they are than in RSA. My twin cab 4x4 auto Triton GLX+ cost me the equivalent of R360,000 road tax for a year and tow hitch thrown in. Just to rub it in I did the test drive in Durban!

Nice one Ian!
I had the same bakkie at my previous job and put 65000 km on it driving around the forests here in Tasmania.

Awesome vehicle that I miss very much.

Very cool! Up in Queensland it has been very hot. Like 43 degree hot. Had a couple of attacks of the burnt bum blues after getting back on the seat when the bike had been sitting in the sun.
