I bought my 990 with a set of Racetec aftermafket pipes. Initially, I thought that I would get used to the noise, but after almost 18 months, I’m fed up. Some may probably wonder what on earth is wrong with me, but the bike is EXTREMELY loud.
I’ve heard quite a few 990’s with Akro pipes and they sound really nice, but not nearly such an overkill than my bike.
Would going back to standard OEM pipes be stupid, or are they OK? I’m not prepared to spend R20k plus on a set of Akro’s.
