Eish! I must say that this was most probably the best breakfast run route I've ever been on: we departed from the Sasol @ the 4-way stop near Krugersdorp - then hit some seriously nice gravel all the way to Derby.

After a pit-stop in Derby (colddrink, samie etc.), some of the guys headed back to Jhb via tar - the bulk of the group however followed Marcel to the Hartebeespoort dam via the most scenic route I've experienced - incl. game farms, holiday resorts etc. etc.

I'll post some pics once collated from the guys that documented the ride.

Cheers!

Fortunately the group was quite small, so very manageable, and we made excellent progress.

First stop at Tarlton to deflate tyres

Some interresting bikes came along........never seen one of these on  an offroad ride. Very enjoyable chap riding the machine, sorry forgot his name

It's a Triumph Scrambler for those who don't know....

Another classic

Also first time I see one of these on a ride

The route as Ben has mentioned was in excellent condition, so we made fast progress.......

........waiting for the guys to arrive

Smoke break.......

Gauteng is not nice this time of year..............

Marcelle putting his katoom through it's paces........

The bustling metropolis of Derby where we turned around...

Thanks to all. Wonderfull ride, sorry I had to race back and missed the scenic tour back to Harties.   8)

Looking forward to the next one!   :D
