Jislaaik Hennie, dis baie waar daai.

DAY 9 - PALMWAG TO TWYFELFONTEIN

Before the sun rises, we awake to the lions roaring in the distance.

Usual morning routine and then we head through the veterinary gate towards Bergsig. The road is littered with elephant dung and we are hopeful of spotting one but no luck.

The descent after the steps was tricky- off-camber and loads of loose rocks

Considering the whole van zyls pass, this is probably the part that I struggled the most with when we went through there.  I put my bike down more than once on that descent with the loose rocks and I was completely drained when we finally got to the bottom.

Awesome report ! :ricky:

brings back a lot of memories...    when I look at your pics I remember every place like we were there yesterday.

Thank you!

It was really challenging and I think mostly a bit of a surprise. Somehow thought that once you go down the step youre done with Van Zyls........

Yes!  I think thats exactly what happened to me as well,   you get your mind right for the steps and once your past it you think, ok now its done, and then that part sneeks up on you  :imaposer:

Laat weet as jy post, watter fred is dit?

Hmmm moenie my idees gee nie.....  :imaposer: >:D
