I haven’t had very good experiences with GPS units.

When I bought my VStrom it came with a Garmin Nuvi, which was not suitable for the bike, was damaged and subsequently replaced by a TomTom Rider 400. This has just been stolen and will be subject to an insurance claim.

I really didn’t like the TomTom, there were problems with charging while in the holder on the bike and wasn’t very user friendly as far as I’m concerned. There was no music function, or battery level indicator which were huge negatives for me.

The Garmin Zumo 395LM seems to be a better choice on paper than the TomTom, but any advice would be appreciated. Has anybody else have experience with these two units?
