I'm asking this as I really want to know if there is a huge difference in tyre wear of knobblies on tar, than on gravel?

I mostly do gravel, plaaspaaie, grondpad travel on daytrips (about 240km of which 85% is on gravel) in my area, but there are times where I want to travel further to adjacent areas to explore gravel roads in that area...but that involves much longer distances  on tar just to get to the new gravel roads. Currently I have T63's on my KLR which gives me around 5000km.  I am considering Mitas EO7's for their capability of doing many more kilos, but not so happy to do gravel road riding with them.

Would appreciate comments/advice from knowledgeable dawgs on the question of whether T63's would wear quicker on tar at normal speeds (120km/ph)...which would result in them giving even less than current 5000km.
