SA-made leather moto jacket?
« on: July 10, 2018, 04:49:17 pm »
Hey Wilddogs,

This is not really an ADV-specific moto question, but:

I've become fond of good African leather in my boots for off-bike wear - something about y'all's cows, maybe, but the leather is really excellent quality, feels great to the touch, and looks lekker in a natural color. Got one pair of Ethiopian-sourced voeldskens and one pair of SA-sourced/made ranger boots. Made me wonder - is anyone in Southern Africa making moto jackets out of African-sourced leather?  Most of the results under just googling "South African leather jackets" were fashionable but not roadworthy!

Cheers
