At this point we realised our buddy system failed as Colin was nowhere to be seen. Johan turns back with Gerald to go look for him

We get to our first serious obstacle, a big step up on a severe incline which is rutted and full of loose rocks. With virtually no traction, we all resort to paddling while trying to get some forward momentum.

Lee getting it wrong

What a ride!!! I have been priveledged enough to be able to do it once with Mark. I know the feeling of being of being pushed toe the limit and not knowing that an adventure bike is capable of the things that Justblip it can come up with...rude of a lifetime and I definately have to do it again at some point...

A few km before Tshaneni, Lee did one too many wheelie and ripped his valve on the rear tube running low pressures. Sun was setting and we were less than two kms away from our digs for the night.... >:(

New tube fitted and as we pulled away, already tasting the first Sibebe, Lee indicated that his front was also flat. Saay indicated to Lee to sit over the rear wheel and nurse it to Tshaneni Country Club where the puncture could be sorted in the morning.

We had a few beers and lots of stories and laughs at the country club, followed by the best peri-peri chicken I've ever had.
