Strange display on speedometer

Hi guys.
Just wonder if you can assist. I have a 2012 990 Adventure. Went on trip last week and washed and cleaned the bike this week. No powerjet, just hosepipe and car wash shampoo. Took care of not getting water at instrument cluster.
Started the bike today to go to shop, about 4km away. All good an no problem. When I want to go bavk, I turned the key end instead of the three zeros, it showed three d's. But it started without any problem, the digits just blinking a bit. Like a zero would show a 1 and a three would show a d. Whilst riding, the bike backfired a lot, but no power loss or anything. Pulls hard without problem and idle normal.
The blinking of the digits began before my trip, but the longer I ride, everything stopped blinking. Is it something to worry about or to be checked out?
