I would have to disagree with you on that. If properly done when you fab your engine mounts, you will also be cutting, reshaping and gusseting the frame. Engine destroying the frame would be the least of my worries if i fabbed it up.

The engine is a stress bearing member. The rest is distressed.  :o

Judging by the average age of all of us that Posted here, that Frame is going to be ok, the only thing that would be stressed is our Bodies. The Engine will also scare the shit out of you. :pot:

I went to a guy's house inStellenbosch after responding to his ad for sale on Gumtree, and in his garage he has 3 Suzuki Katana's, and..........

A very nice home-built mono-shocked scrambler, with a Suzuki GS1000 4 cylinder engine fitted. :eek7:

In Klawer was a guy Hennie Burger, he had a Z550 engine in an old kdx frame

I had a GS1000. And a TS185.

They're gone now. Never think about these things until it's too late, dammit!  :xxbah:
