Does the 1090R have tire pressure monitors or not?

It seems to be a feature on the cluster, and I assumed it was active? Is this a feature that needs to be added as an optional extra or whats the deal?

No it does not..

So.....

No aftermarket levers available for 1090R?????

I have been to KTM, I have tired Dustriders etc......the levers for the 1190R do not fit the 1090R. No one can tell when aftermarket levers will be available for these bikes.

Bit of a bummer as I broke my brake lever and a new KTM one R1490.00  :deal: bit steep to replace the 2cm I broke off.....so I guess I will keep the broken one

You sure the 1190 ones won't work?  That seems strange.  My 1190 ones work fine on the 1290.

That broken one should be an upgrade already. Just make the edges smooth and you don't need to spend money on some fancy 2 levers from a shop.

I got mine from these guys:  http://www.worldofcarbon.co.za/  They're not the best levers in the world but they were fairly cheap I think like R750 or so.

That's really strange. Maybe it's to do with the ABS system on the 1190/1290 bikes?    I find it strange that they would change something like that if they didn't have to, saves money sharing parts.

Maybe it is the same as another KTM variant?

As far as I know, I have the same ABS setup as the 1190.

Also, have checked with both RAD and FAST KTM, 1090 is basically stand-alone when it comes to levers :deal:

Depending on what gps you have, you can fit Garmin tyre pressure monitors

I bought 1290 Super Duke levers, thinking it will fit my 1290R. It did not.

The levers for the 1090 looks the same as I had on my Superduke 1290.

Worth a try?

Sold my Duke, so cant compare now.

Nope - 1090 shares the same levers as the 690.
1190 and 1290 do not fit on the brake side, only the clutch lever can be shared.

300 EXC clutch lever fits and is short too-bonus. (From Chris Birch’s upgrades list on FB) No luck for the brake lever though

Iam considering removing the front mud guard and putting on a mudguard from a MX bike?

I have seen it done on a few 1190's …… looks cool, but not entirely convinced...…

Any thoughts or opinions.....

Also, I need to update my thread with some pics, there have been loads of updates and changes on the bike

Thoughts:  I am not always so sure I like the look, plus it sounds like a 50 50 risk to have that guard fold over or twist at high speeds.

Photos....yes please do add!?

I don’t like the look at all, but that is just my personal preference ...... sure it makes sense when you ride in wet clay type mud
