This is the powerful and reliable 2007 KTM 525 RFS engine, parts are available from KTM.
Bought from a fellow WD in Jan 2016.
Used on the add weekend to explore some gravel roads and single tracks.
Selling it as i acquired a more road-friendly bike that can carry a passenger. Will miss this pure-bred animal!
Work done at around 6530 km:
Sand blasted the frame and powder coated again.
Oil service and oil filters changed.
Valve clearances checked.
Greased rear suspension linkage and bearings.
Greased all other bearings.
Rewired electrics.
Did not strip wheels, forks, shock or engine, other than taking the side cover off and getting it powder coated, plus new gaskets.
New parts fitted at around 6530 km:
Front and rear wheel bearings and seals, with stainless wheel spaces.
Front and rear sprockets, with X-ring chain and sprocket chain guide.
Steering bearings.
Swingarm and linkage bearings.
Stainless front axle remover arm.
Stainless gear lever and new bearings in it.
Stainless rear brake lever.
Stainless exhaust.
Air filter.
Gear lever.
Zeta hand guards.
Silicone radiator hoses.
Stainless radiator guards, over the alloy braces.
HID projector high/low beam headlight 4300K - needs a new 'globe' / better insulation.
