DR 650 Speedometer cable replacement

Hi Guys,
just to confirm, thre is nothing funny in replacing the cable? The top just screws onto the speedo it self and the bottom , loosen the screw, stick in the cable, tighten the screw?
Is that correct?
Thanks

Sounds fine to me.
You may open the speedo drive at the front axle. Firstly remove the dust seal, then the white plastic gear, clean/inspect, grease and put everything together again.
The white plastic gear tends to run dry on the metal bush.
