Here is a picture taken on the way back, while we were still in the Karoo. I had done around 1800kms here on them. Notice the groove between treads is almost gone. About 4mm of wear.

Also needed to replace tyres before the GS challenge trip next month and spend some time reading the different reviews on the Anakee adventure (80/20), Karro street (60/40) and Tourrance (70/30) because most of my riding is daily commuting. Decided last week then to fit the adventure tyre because I like the profile and excellent reviews, thus far very happy low noise, grip well and confident it will handle off-road well which I will experience next month.

If any of you have 10min to read on this subject inform yourself here.  Excellent write up without pushing any brand locally by locals for our bikes.

Thank you Tman21.

Funny enough I have been considering the Karoo 3's but am worried about the noise, hence my decision to buy the Adventures next time I need to buy.

What was the deciding factor for the Karoo streets?

Looking forward to your feedback on them once you have done a few kilometers.

I have not tested the Karoo 3 but from years of dirtbiking my head tells me the Karoo 3 will not work on tar when wet as desired.  Im also not gonna be happy with road noise and I used cruise control at just over 140kmp so the Karoo 3 wont last too long in the rear.

Karoo street has been dubbed a 60/40 tyre and although ill be doing 70-80% tar I do want to get a bit technical when I take the path less traveled.
