My New Hobby
« on: September 17, 2018, 11:58:57 am »
So I discovered that I have a bit of a drinking problem. Not that I get wasted every day but I drink more than I should and then I do very little apart from stare at a TV screen.

I needed something to keep my hands busy so I got a 2014 GSA LC. Another 2014 GSA LC.....

But I am not going to ride this one, I'm going to take it apart and keep some bits and sell some bits. A social experiment that will hopefully get me to drink less.

PS...If anybody needs any bits, let me know.

So I started stripping the GS and can confirm that a lot less drinking has happened.

Parts are now being cleaned, labeled and stored for future use. Very therapeutic..... I have on many occasions wanted to look "inside" my GS and this is the perfect opportunity.

Will the front shock work on a normal GS? Mine is leaking oil so need to go to Blingking but if I can get another for cheaper that should be great!

Sandbag, I think the front forks are the same but you will not want these as they are part of a stanchion separation incident.......

Have you tried just replacing the fork seals, I did mine and that seemed to solved the problem.

Thanks, It really is quite interesting to see how much technology is in the a modern bike. I remember working on my DT50 and XL500 and how simple finding faults used to be.....this is space ship compared to those 80's bikes...

Enige stokperdtjie is veronderstel om geld te kos. My plan is om net genoeg te verkoop om my kostes te verhaal en dan om die res te hou want dit is dan tegnies verniet.

Hi caconcepts, I'm interested in the footpegs but will these GSA footpegs fit a GS? I'm very new (yesterday) to these bikes and am not sure if the frames are the same.
How many were there, which way did they go? I must find them, I am their leader

Interesting hobby indeed

Would you be interested in selling those spot-lights?
