Damaged Gear Shift Shaft
« on: September 26, 2018, 11:45:27 am »
Anyone know if I'd have to split my motor to replace the gear shift shaft? Or does it slide out on the clutch side?

My gear lever came off and took a bit of the shaft with it  :o

Is that even what it's called? I tried googling but not coming up with useful results

EDIT: I think my reply above just proves that it's above my spanner swinging abilities. Best take it to a pro  :imaposer:

You are right, it is called the shift shaft. You do not have to split the motor to remove it.  Best to read the repair manual, it shows quite clearly how to do it.

Not sure what model you have but I downloaded a 2014 repair manual from the interweb.
If you cant find it you are welcome to PM me and I will make a plan to send it to you.
I have a 2015 and I believe there where no changes till after 2017.
Cheers
