Phone Bikers Warehouse in GP to confirm. :thumleft:

We are a few with Husky 610 TEs. 2008/2009 models. You hardly need anything from the agents, but plastics and parts are readily available, and affordable. ;)

On the net I found Safari and IMS long range tanks for the 510 TE.

You might have to import it yourself.

No issues on the 610 TE! ;)

I did buy a spare fuel pump from Archangel, as he was selling his 610.  :thumleft:

I do (have done) numerous trips to Swaziland, without taking the spare fuel pump with, and never needed it. ;)

There is an internal tank filter, that you can check/replace? :thumleft:

I'm sure the 510 Fi will be fine for your adventures in Lesotho! :thumleft:

As with any bike....regular maintenance...by yourself...is key! ;)

I had a 510 Fi for a short while. ;)

Bought it for a bargain...in showroom condition...and sold it before putting a single scratch or dust spec on it! :o

On the 610 TEs it was basically the carb to Fi that changed.

On the Fi motor the cam chain was improved.

The rest remained identical.

Regarding the 510 TE, it seems some radical changes were made to the frame, and only a few improvements to the motor.

TK in our group has both a carb and Fi 610 TE. He prefers the carb.

Not 100% sure, but the 2007 510 might be Fi.

If you can find a well looked after 2007, go and ride it, and decide for yourself! The upgrades, such as pegs being moved forward, might just not suite you?

The 2007 might be more suitable for you!

The suspension (forks & shock) have not changed, and has awesome travel!

No they put cheaper suspension on the newer model. Less travel and adjustment. The 2006 had fantastic suspenders. I also rode both and the FCR equipped carb bike was much nicer to ride.
