Drive shaft recon - experiences

Good morning guys

I have read that some guys have reconed their shafts, but do not see any feedback on the results

I have a nice clean shaft extra, got it for a case of beer.
The one side universals feel slightly less mobile than the other.
Put it in the bike once, and it definitely makes a noise when I let off the power

Would like to try and recon it, and see what happens.

What are your experiences,  and where did you get it done?
