Usually I get around 360km before I have to activate reserve.
However the last few tanks, I had to switch over to reserve at around 260km.
So I did a full service, though premature, hoping to resolve what I assumed was excessive fuel consumption.
It made no difference.
The last one I had to switch over to reserve just before passing a garage, so I swung in to fill the tank and was surprised that it took only 13 liters. I checked that it was filled to the brim.
It appears that my running out was not due to excessive consumption, but rather that I am being forced to activate the reserve prematurely while there is still plenty of fuel in the tank.
I cannot quite figure this out though. Its as if the spigot inside the tank for the main takeoff has been raised to a higher level. How is this possible?
