Being a noob to the forum please forgive me if this topic/ route has been discussed. I have browsed a few pages and read through few threads on parts of this trip which have helped, but have found nothing too comprehensive.
We are planning to trip down to CT from PMB and back later this year. I would like to traverse Lesotho to avoid much of the Eastern Cape (Umtata, Matat etc.) area both there and back. From there the thinking is to experience Gariep Dam, Nieu-Bethesda, Baviaanskloof, stop in and visit a friend in Prince Albert and Groot Brak and then head onto CT. Obviously these 'stops' will be divided between the trip down and the return trip. So something like:
Sani - Lesotho (Katse) - Baviaans - Mossel Bay - CT - Prince Albert - Nieu Bethesda - Gariep - Lesotho - Home?...
Any experience/ thoughts/ ideas/ concerns/ input re this trip?
