KTM 1190 Adventure
Hi all,

I need some pointers-

I recenty started to wheelie my 1190 adv, picking it up in 2nd by accelerating to around 6000rpm and popping the clutch. It works well and everything is controlled but the bike just runs out of revs and drops after a few very short (but very awesome) meters. I've tried to "feather" the throttle but because its very much a power wheelie, the slightest tap off causes the bike to drop again. I've also tried picking it up in 3rd, same applies as before except at a higher speed.

So next I tried a quick gear shift from 2nd to 3rd to try and prevent the bike from running out of revs but im not quick enough before the bike drops again!

Is there a correct or better technique to wheelie better?

Would appreciate hearing from the guys who make it look so simple!!

regards, Tyrone.
