I'm looking to hire a bike for a day, maybe 2 so my boyfriend and I can go exploring. Rough route is from Green Point to Kalk Bay for breakfast, then along the coast to Kleinmond, across to Worcester, Bain's Kloof, late afternoon tea in Philadelphia. About a 400km round trip. But this isn't set in stone. We just know we want to go to the train coffee shop in Kalk Bay for breakfast :ricky:
We're based in Cape Town and I've looked at all the bike hire companies. Prices are in excess of R1500 per day, and only 200km are included, thereafter it's R2-3/km.
We don't need a big dual sport, just something that is comfortable for 2-up riding. Combined weight 150kg, and we just want to cruise and take in the views.
As I'm going to be the rider, the biggest bike I'm comfortable on is the likes of the BMW F800.
Heck, I've even looked at the Harley's because they're so comfortable.
Any ideas?
