Shorty Boots - What say you?

I see you get all sorts of shorty boots these days. Some look like plain PEP takkies to me, but at the price they should probably protect your ankle through an atomic disaster.

I had a pair of O'Neal Shorty Boots previously - brought in with the help of [member=10211]tgg[/member] nogal  :lol8: - and I liked them, still priced well in my opinion. But with all these new styles and names available, is there something "beter" in the sense of giving the same protection, but giving the feel of a takkie?
