Maybe some of the experts can answer please - have been told my regulator is toast and need to get a new one ex BMW only - the pirate units have been discounted as trash and not worth the Rand saving apparently 
But I see over the last few days my battery is charging properly - I had a reconditioned stator installed last week but the diagnosis is the regulator is toast as well - will a regulator die or can the fault with it be intermittent ?
